Answers to top questions

Can my business still make a claim for firearms that were prohibited in 2020?

No. The deadline for businesses to submit claims was June 4, 2026. Businesses can no longer create new accounts or submit claims. Please note that compensation is dependent on the successful completion of all required firearm validations. Learn more about payment of your claim.

Can my business still request a compensation review for firearms with a rare background or unique features?

No. To ensure the efficient delivery of the ASFCP within the available program funds, the compensation review process will no longer be available when the program re-opens for businesses in 2026. Businesses who disagree with the compensation offered can remove the impacted firearm from their claim or choose to deactivate their firearm instead.

How long will it take for my business to receive payment?

Once your firearms have been received and validated, payment will be issued within 45 business days if no additional review is required. More information on payment of your claim.
