The core question an officer asks is simple: is the proposed trip financially reasonable for this applicant?

Processing Time & Fees

Processing times vary by application type, completeness, visa office, and whether additional verification is needed — there's no universally guaranteed timeline, and we don't promise one. The current IRCC visitor visa fee is CAD $100 per person (the same fee applies whether IRCC issues a single- or multiple-entry visa), with a maximum family fee of CAD $500 for an eligible family of five or more applying together. Biometrics, medical exams, and translation costs may apply separately.
