4. During the student internship

As an employer, during the student internship, you are required to provide student interns with certain labour standards protections. To learn more about your obligations, consult Federally regulated employer obligations towards interns and student interns.

The Labour Program recommends that you communicate regularly with the student intern and their educational administrator throughout the internship. This is to ensure the activities performed by the student intern are appropriate and align with the activities that the educational administrator described in the internship agreement.
