Digital services for tax preparers
Effective July 15, 2025, the Authorize a Representative service in EFILE will no longer be available to representatives of individual clients. Instead, representatives will need to use the Represent a Client portal to request online access to an account. Note that How to give authorization provides instructions to taxpayers regarding authorization requests.

Filing options
- EFILE for electronic filers
Registered tax professionals can send current-year individual tax returns to us over the Internet. - Filing information returns electronically
Internet filing options for businesses that issue any of the following slips: T4, T4A, T4A(OAS), T4A(P), T4A-NR, T4E, T4RSP, T4RIF, T5, T5007, T5008, T5018, T3, NR4, AGR-1, T1204, T215, SAFER information returns, or RRSP receipts. - Corporation Internet filing
Corporations that meet certain criteria can file their corporation income tax returns over the Internet. - GST/HST EDI filing and remitting
File a GST/HST return and/or remit a GST/HST payment over the Internet through a participating financial institution. - Mandatory electronic filing for tax preparers
Tax preparers who prepare more than 10 returns are required to file them electronically.
