Lytton Homeowner Resilient Rebuild Program

Overview

On June 30, 2021, wildfires devastated Lytton, B.C., damaging homes, businesses and infrastructure. PacifiCan is committed to helping Lytton build back better. The Lytton Homeowner Resilient Rebuild Program provides grants for eligible Lytton homeowners who want to rebuild homes that are:

  • fire-resilient;
  • fire-resilient and Net Zero; or
  • fire-resilient and Net Zero Ready

Fire-resilient homes

Fire-resilient homes use non-combustible materials and design features to reduce damage from fires and allow more time for evacuation. Homeowners must follow specific fire-resilience guidelines to qualify for the grant.

Net Zero and Net Zero Ready homes

Net Zero homes are energy-efficient, healthy and environmentally friendly. They use renewable energy systems (like solar panels) to produce as much energy as they use.

Net Zero Ready homes are built to Net Zero standards but don’t yet have a renewable energy system.
