Get ready to complete the assessment

Before you complete your assessment template, you should get your required and supporting documents ready.

Complete mandatory training

The following people must complete renewal training through the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP):

  • your sponsorship agreement holder’s (SAH) main contact
  • all SAH representatives with sponsorship signing authority (they can submit sponsorship applications on behalf of the SAH)

You can also have other SAH representatives complete the training, but it isn’t required.

Contact the RSTP to find out how to complete renewal training

Include your training certificates with your assessment package.

Get your financial statements ready

We’ll review your financial statements as part of our financial assessment.

Make sure you have financial statements from the most recent financial year available that are

  • dated in the last 18 months
  • audited by a chartered professional accountant (licensed in the province or territory you’re based in)
