Communities applying to participate in the rural and Francophone immigration pilots

The application window closed July 17, 2024. We’re reviewing all applications and will announce the selected communities before the pilot launches this fall.
In the fall of 2024, we’re introducing 2 new economic immigration pilots:
- the Rural Community Immigration Pilot
- the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot
Both pilots are based on the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot. Their goal is to:
- continue to spread the benefits of immigration to communities across Canada (outside of Quebec)
- help employers find the workers they need to overcome labour shortages
