After you apply

Once we receive your complete application, we’ll review and assess it.

This means we will:

• make sure all sections of the form are complete
• make sure all your supporting documents are included
• identify if your community is eligible to participate in the pilot and complete an assessment of your application
• contact you for more information, if needed

How we select communities

We will pick communities who have the strongest applications, based on:

• identified gaps that need to be filled in their economy
• availability of infrastructure, services, and programs to settle newcomers
• their experience with immigration programs
• their capacity to partner with us
• their commitment to fulfill the roles and responsibilities

Not all communities that submit an application will be chosen to participate. Selected communities will be announced in the coming months.
