- These tools do not refuse applications nor don't recommend refusals. Our trained Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada officers make refusal decisions, and are accountable for all outcomes.
- Before we introduce any new tool, we carefully assess its impacts on clients and our immigration system, paying special attention to fairness, accuracy, and integrity.
- We are using low risk artificial intelligence for everyday tasks—like sorting files or automating routine administrative tasks—to free up staff for the complex work people rely on.
- Our use of these tools follows government-wide requirements and is subject to strong governance, oversight, and privacy protections.
