Our vision

A regulatory environment that supports a strong supply management system for poultry and eggs and an effective marketing of agricultural products through promotion and research.

Our mandate

• Advise the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food on matters relating to the establishment and operation of agencies under the Farm Products Agencies Act with a view to maintaining and promoting an efficient and competitive agriculture industry;
• Review the operations of agencies with a view to ensuring their operations are in accordance with their legislated objectives
• Work with agencies in promoting a strong, efficient and competitive marketing of farm products under the supply management system for poultry and eggs
• Work with promotion-research agencies in promoting the competitiveness of the targeted farm products.

Our mission

Our mission is to oversee the regulatory system for the orderly marketing of poultry and eggs in Canada while working closely with marketing agencies, and to promote a prosperous Canadian agricultural industry through promotion-research agencies.
