Military housing in Yellowknife
As of November 1, 2024, CFHA added 189 residential housing units (RHUs) in Yellowknife to its national portfolio. As a result of an administrative transfer which was years in the making, the Department of National Defence acquired the Crown-owned housing from Public Services and Procurement Canada, who ceased pool housing operations on behalf of the Government of Canada in the area.

About HSC Yellowknife
Canadian Armed Forces operations in Yellowknife are based at the Joint Task Force (North) headquarters, a strategic hub for northern operations that is positioned near the city's downtown. Military housing is conveniently situated within the city, allowing personnel and their families to reside within close proximity to both work and essential services. The CFHA HSC office is also located downtown in the Government of Canada Greenstone Building.

The shelter charges listed below don't include utility charges. For those units that are individually metered for utilities (heating, electricity, water, sewage), you will pay consumption charges directly to the supplier. For those units that are not individually metered, the utility charges are added to the shelter charges listed below.
