Information sessions

We are currently updating our website to reflect our new name and mandate.

During this transition, some pages may display updated information while others may not yet reflect these changes. If you need assistance finding information, please contact us at dnd.dcsrc-csrcd.mdn@forces.gc.ca or 1-844-750-1648.
Thank you for your understanding.

We offer information sessions on a variety of topics to raise awareness of our programs, services and available supports. These sessions are designed to:

  • Foster understanding
  • Provide access to resources
  • Engage your team in meaningful discussions

Our sessions offer valuable insights into how to support individuals affected by sexual misconduct and racism, while promoting awareness and helping to create safer, more inclusive environments.

We are pleased to accommodate groups of various sizes, subject to team availability at the requested date and time.

Depending on the schedule and resources available, the information sessions can also be held in-person. Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Our outreach coordinator will review your request and contact you to confirm the details.

Topics

About the DCSRC (Minimum of 5 participants, no maximum)

This 60-minute session offers an overview of the programs and services available through the Defence Community Support and Resource Centre (DCSRC). Participants will gain a clear understanding of our mandate, what to expect when reaching out for support, how to access our services, and the resources available to those affected by sexual misconduct and racism.

Trauma-Informed Approach (Minimum of 5 and maximum of 30 participants)

This 2.5-hour session explores trauma, its potential impacts, and the ways past experiences can continue to shape coping strategies, responses, and how individuals engage with the world around them. Participants will learn how to approach conversations through a trauma-informed lens, build awareness of how trauma may present in different ways, and identify practical approaches to fostering safer, more supportive environments.

Combined (Minimum of 5 and maximum of 30 participants)

This 3-hour session will combine both the About the DCSRC and Trauma-Informed Approach sessions.
