Collective Initiatives – Canada Periodical Fund
The Collective Initiatives component of the Canada Periodical Fund provides funding to organizations for projects designed to increase the overall sustainability of the Canadian magazine and (non-daily) community newspaper industries.
Who can apply
To be eligible for funding, your organization must be a Canadian non-profit association, press agency or media group representing or serving stakeholders in the Canadian magazine or community newspaper publishing industries.

Application deadline
The application intake period will take place from August 20, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (ET) to September 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. (ET).
How to apply
Applicants are required to:
- review the Application Guidelines carefully, including the definitions to ensure all criteria are met;
- create or access a Canadian Heritage Funding Portal account and apply online for Canada Periodical Fund – Collective Initiatives; and
- provide all supporting documents, as detailed in the Application Guidelines.
