The Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) serves Canada’s Parliament and territorial legislative assemblies by providing objective, fact-based information and expert advice on government programs and activities, gathered through audits. Elected officials use OAG reports to oversee government activities and hold government organizations to account for their handling of public funds.

Through our audit reports and appearances at parliamentary hearings, we assist Parliament and territorial legislative assemblies in their work of authorizing and overseeing government spending and operations.
