Kim Campbell

Kim Campbell is a lawyer, diplomat, writer and politician who in 1993 became Canada's first – and only – woman prime minister. Breaking down barriers since her youth, Campbell inspired generations of Canadian women and girls to follow her path into politics. She is among the world's pre-eminent minds in law, political science and international relations and currently works in academia to advance social change, both internationally and in Canada. An eloquent and provocative speaker and noted consultant, she addresses issues such as gender, leadership, democratization, climate change, and Canadian-American relations. Campbell holds leadership positions in several global organizations and has been awarded numerous honorary degrees and distinctions, including the Order of Canada.
