Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat notice to all members of the Canadian Armed Forces regarding pay equity

The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS), on behalf of the Treasury Board, is filing a request with the Office of the Pay Equity Commissioner to extend the deadline to post a final pay equity plan for members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This means TBS is asking for additional time to complete the plan.

As noted in the notice of October 25, 2024, the Pay Equity Commissioner granted TBS an extension until August 31, 2026, to post the CAF pay equity plan. TBS is now seeking a further extension of time to finalize and post the plan.

If an extension is granted, lump-sum payments and interest amounts must be calculated and paid to CAF members in a predominantly female job class for which an increase in compensation is owed. All amounts become payable in full the day after the posting of the final pay equity plan.
