Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Made Under the Members of Parliament Retiring Allowances Act

To: Members of Parliament Pension Plan members

The Government of Canada would like to inform Members of Parliament Pension Plan members that it has made administrative changes to the pension Regulations to ensure they are aligned with the legislative changes announced in the 2012 Pension Reform Act. The regulatory amendments also add clarity and flexibility, and introduce gender neutral terminology.

These changes do not impact member contributions or benefits under the Members of Parliament Pension Plan.
