Rescission of Membership Fees Policy

As part of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s ongoing efforts to improve internal processes and to reduce the reporting burden on departments, while ensuring accountability is not compromised, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat initiated a policy suite review. The Membership Fees Policy was one of the policies recently reviewed as part of this exercise.

Reimbursement of membership fees, when required for performance of the duties of an employee’s position, is included within the provisions of the relevant collective agreement. Therefore, in order to avoid redundancy and conflict of authority, the Membership Fees Policy will be rescinded, effective .
