New Public Service Health Care Plan Contribution Rates Effective April 1, 2018
The purpose of this notice is to inform plan members and employers participating in the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) that as of , the pensioner contribution rates for Pensioner Supplementary coverage and Pensioner Supplementary Relief Provision coverage will increase.
The new rates can be found in Schedule V of the PSHCP Plan Directive on the National Joint Council website.
These new rates will be reflected in the payroll. Pay and pension system administrators have been advised of these changes to ensure the necessary actions are taken.
The cost of the plan will be assessed and future contribution rates will be adjusted to maintain the relevant cost sharing ratio between members and the employer.
Reminder: The portion of the PSHCP contribution rate paid by the employer is a taxable benefit for members residing in Quebec.
