How to offer your services to the Translation Bureau
To offer translation services in the official languages to the Translation Bureau, you must qualify under the Request for Supply Arrangements (RFSA) published on CanadaBuys. To access the RFSA’s details and bid, you will need a SAP Business Network account. If you do not have an account, find out how to register your business.
If you have never offered your services to the Government of Canada before, familiarize yourself with the procurement process: Preparing to sell to the Government of Canada.
If you already hold a supply arrangement (SA) to offer translation services in the official languages to the Translation Bureau, visit Suppliers qualified to offer linguistic services to the Translation Bureau to find out more about doing business with the Translation Bureau.
Alternative to the experience criterion in the Parliamentary Documents field
There is high demand in the Parliamentary Documents field. To help the Translation Bureau meet the demand, suppliers must satisfy the criteria set out in the RFSA, including 100,000 words translated in this field in the last 5 years.
The Translation Bureau is therefore offering an alternative to the experience criterion: an information session followed by an exam.
Details on the information sessions and exams
- Format: Online
- Cost: Free
- Duration:
- 1 half day for the information session
- 2 to 3 hours for the exam, held about 1 week after the information session
- Number of participants:
- Information session – All members of your translation team are encouraged to attend (the Translation Bureau reserves the right to limit spots based on capacity)
- Exam – Only one person per company
Before you register
Before registering for the information session, consult the RFSA to make sure that you are able to satisfy the other criteria. To access the RFSA’s details and bid, you will need a SAP Business Network account. If you do not have an account, find out how to register your business.
How to register
To register:
- email btformation.tbtraining@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca
