Canada Student Grant for Part-Time Students
This grant is available to part-time students who are in financial need. You are automatically assessed when you apply for student aid with your province or territory.

Note: This grant is not available to students from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec. They have their own student aid programs.
Eligibility
You could be eligible for this grant if you apply and:
- have a financial need
- are a part-time student in a qualified program at a designated school
- have successfully completed the courses you have been given a grant for in the past; and
- your total family income is less than the income threshold below

How much you could receive
Until the end of the 2026 to 2027 school year, you could receive up to $2,520 per year. The amount of the grant will not be more than your assessed need. For example, if you have an assessed need of $1,200, you will receive a $1,200 grant. The school year runs from August 1 to July 31.
