Authorization to exercise powers or perform duties of the Minister of National Revenue

Pursuant to subsection 8(1)^{Footnote 1}  of the Canada Revenue Agency Act^{Footnote 2}  and subject to subsections 8(2) and (3)a of that Act, I hereby authorize the Commissioner of Revenue, or a person authorized to perform the duties of that position, to exercise or perform on behalf of the Minister of National Revenue the powers, duties and functions of the Minister under an Act of Parliament or of a province, with the exception of those conferred on that Minister under the Charities Registration (Security Information) Act^{Footnote 3} .

This authorization supersedes the authorization issued to the Commissioner of Customs and Revenue by the Minister of National Revenue on February 7, 2002, and complements other authorizations that are in force on the date this authorization is issued.
