Authorization by the Commissioner of Revenue to the Deputy Commissioner and the Assistant Commissioners to exercise powers or perform duties of the Minister of National Revenue

Pursuant to subsection 8(4)^{Footnote 1}  of the Canada Revenue Agency Act^{Footnote 2} , I hereby authorize the Deputy Commissioner of Revenue and the Assistant Commissioners of the Canada Revenue Agency, or a person authorized to perform the duties of one of those positions, to exercise or perform on behalf of the Minister of National Revenue the powers, duties and functions of the Minister that I have been authorized to exercise or perform under subsection 8(1)a of that Act.

This authorization supersedes the authorization issued by the Commissioner of Customs and Revenue to the Deputy Commissioner of Customs and Revenue and the Assistant Commissioners of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency on October 28, 1999, and complements other authorizations that are in force on the date this authorization is issued.
