EFILE service providers: ReFILE like you EFILE!
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is introducing ReFile, a new service for tax preparers. ReFile allows EFILE service providers to make adjustments to their clients’ T1 returns using EFILE certified software instead of submitting a paper form.
Benefits of using the ReFILE service
- Quick - you will know much sooner how much tax your client may owe, compared to making adjustments on paper.
- Convenient and cost efficient–save time and postage costs by filing T1 return adjustments using EFILE certified software.
- Simple – use the EFILE software you are most familiar with.
You will currently be able to make adjustments to 2015 and 2016 tax year returns using ReFILE. In the future, you will be able to use ReFILE for the current tax year return, along with the three previous years.
In improving its service offerings, the CRA is giving better support to Canadians who want to file their tax returns without using paper forms.
