Green and clean technology procurement
As a common service provider for procurement for the federal public service, Public Services and Procurement Canada supports the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) in implementing the Policy on Green Procurement government-wide. This includes:
- providing environmentally preferable options to client departments
- creating shared consolidated procurement instruments for departments and agencies
- developing standard legally-approved language for procurement documents
- supporting TBS in the:
- development of tools and guidelines for the adoption of green procurement across the Government of Canada
- promotion of clean technology procurement
