Royal Canadian Mounted Police: Next generation police coastal patrol vessels
These vessels will:
- replace the aging fleet of 3 catamaran vessels currently operating in the Pacific Coast, including in support of provincial policing
- operate within 400 nautical miles of their respective home ports, with a crew of 4 and, with a combined transit and on-station time of 7 days at sea without refuelling or stores replenishment
- be certified to near coastal voyage, Class 2 and, be designed and constructed to allow application for near coastal voyage, Class 1 certification

Progress of the project
- July 2, 2026: Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) announced the contract award to Ocean Pacific Marine for the construction of 3 new next generation - police coastal patrol vessels
- April 4, 2025 to October 17, 2025: PSPC posted the solicitation of offers to build the police coastal patrol vessels based on a proven design
- August 2024: PSPC issued a Request for Information seeking feedback from industry on the vessel requirements
