Hello, everyone,
Today, across the country, we mark Official Languages Day.
And this year’s theme, Deux Voix en Harmonie / Two Voices in Harmony, invites us to celebrate our official languages through our culture and music
Because Canada is lucky to have incredible artists whose talent inspires us and make us proud to be Canadian, here at home and around the world.
French and English are at the heart of our identity.
They carry our stories, our culture and our values.
Our two official languages are a strength for Canadian communities.
A strength that brings us together and helps us connect with one another and with the world.
A strength that creates opportunities for our workers, businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed.
We all have a role to play in bringing our official languages to life every day, whether at work, at home, in the films and series that we watch, the books we read or the music we listen to.
Let’s be proud to speak them, celebrate them and pass them on to our children and grandchildren.
So, wherever you are in Canada: Happy Official Languages Day!
