New deployment option for persons employed at the National Capital Commission (20-17)

As of November 27, 2020, persons who are employed at the National Capital Commission (NCC) can be deployed to departments and agencies whose appointments are made in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act. The Public Service Commission granted the approval after reviewing the National Capital Commission’s staffing program.

This new flexibility has been added to their existing eligibility which allows NCC employees to participate in advertised internal appointment processes open to "persons employed in the public service" and "employees of the public service."

For more information on the statutory links between departments and agencies, the Public Service Commission and the Public Service Employment Act, please consult our reference list.
