Lists of firearms and upper receivers: for individuals

Find all firearms (including lower receivers) and upper receivers prohibited in May 2020, December 2024 or March 2025. Only firearms (including lower receivers) are eligible for compensation under the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program for individuals and include compensation amounts.

Upper receivers are not eligible for compensation for individual owners but must be disposed of before the amnesty period ends.

While participating in the program is voluntary, compliance with the law is not. Individual firearm owners must safely dispose of or permanently deactivate their assault-style firearms before the amnesty period ends, or risk criminal liability for the illegal possession of a prohibited firearm.

Any items turned in to the program that are not included on the list of firearms for individuals will not be returned and will be destroyed without compensation.
