Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) in Canada

Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) is a sexually transmitted infection that can be transmitted through unprotected vaginal, anal or oral sexual contact. To prevent transmission, use a condom or other barrier methods. Treatment is available to cure the LGV infection and your sexual partners should be tested. Having LGV can increase the chances of acquiring or transmitting HIV, other STIs and other blood-borne pathogens, such as hepatitis C.
