How can dengue fever infections be prevented?
Although advanced research is underway, there is currently no approved vaccine or medication that protects against dengue fever.
Mosquitos that carry the dengue virus can infect you during the day or night although highest risk is during the day from sunrise to sunset. They can be found inside and outside of buildings. If you are in an area where dengue fever is present, your best defence is to protect yourself from mosquito bites.
