To ensure a comprehensive information gathering process and to enrich members' discussions, the External Expert Review (EER) Panel invited you to provide input. Your ideas and comments were considered by the EER Panel when developing recommendations for its Final Report, which was presented to the President of the Public Health Agency of Canada on April 25, 2025.
Who was the focus of this consultation
We engaged with:
- academic institutions
- medical specialist societies
- health professional associations
- non-governmental organizations
- interested public parties, including:
- general public
- health care professionals
- provincial and territorial health authorities
- advisory or collaborative bodies in guideline development
Key questions for discussion
You were invited to provide insights in response to the following 3 questions:
- Which practices should be maintained or what changes to the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (Task Force) governance or structure could further support transparency, accountability, independence and leadership, towards scientifically rigorous, timely, agile and inclusive guidelines?
- Considering the broader preventive health care landscape, what should be the mandate of the Task Force of the future and how can it collaborate with other entities involved in guideline development nationally and internationally?
- How can the Task Force strengthen interest holder engagement including subject-matter experts, equity-denied communities, and other groups to address health equity disparities and reflect Canadian diversity in guideline development and implementation?
