Ksi Lisims LNG is a proposed floating natural gas liquefaction production, storage, and offloading facility with a marine terminal located on the north coast of British Columbia.
The onshore components of the project would be located on land owned by Nisg̱a’a Nation, as defined in the Nisg̱a’a Treaty. The project is a partnership between the Nisg̱a’a Nation, Rockies LNG, and Western LNG.
The approximately 750-kilometre Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) pipeline will supply feed gas for liquefaction. An approximately 120-kilometre electrical transmission line, the Nass Valley Regional Transmission Line (NVRTL), will provide electricity to the facility from the BC Hydro grid.
Designed to be one of the world’s lowest-emission LNG facilities, Ksi Lisims LNG aims to foster sustainable economic development and lasting prosperity in Canada’s northwest.

- On July 2, 2026, the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia signed the new Canada-British Columbia Cooperative Prosperity Agreement, which will further accelerate the construction of major energy and trade corridors, including Ksi Lisims LNG. The federal government will work with proponents, communities, and First Nations to accelerate the permitting, financing, and construction of this project to boost LNG supply for Canadians and our allies.
- On May 27, 2026, an agreement between Ksi Lisims LNG and SEFE (Securing Energy for Europe) of Germany was announced, bringing long‑term supply of low-carbon Canadian LNG to a European buyer for the first time. Under the agreement, SEFE will purchase one million tonnes per annum of LNG for up to 20 years, with deliveries expected to begin by the early 2030s.
- On January 20, 2026, Ksi Lisims and BC Hydro signed a Memorandum of Understanding to supply 600 MW of power to the project once BC Hydro’s North Coast Transmission Line has been expanded.
- On November 13, 2025, the project was referred to the Major Projects Office (MPO).
