Patented Medicine Prices Review Board
The Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB) reviews patented medicine prices to protect Canadians from any patent abuse related to excessive prices. The PMPRB also reports on Canadian pharmaceutical trends, contributing to a greater understanding of the changing landscape.
We are an independent quasi-judicial body that is part of the Health portfolio, and carry out our mandate at arm’s-length from the Minister of Health.
We are in the process of moving our services and information to Canada.ca.
Our current Patented Medicine Prices Review Board website will remain available until the move to Canada.ca is complete.
