Application Fee Reduction - Record Suspension (Pardon)

As of January 1, 2022, the fee to apply for a record suspension is $50.00.

Applications under the previous fee received but not accepted for processing before the fee reduction came into effect on January 1, 2022 will be processed under the new $50.00 application fee.

Note: The application fee cannot be reimbursed in cases where an application has already been accepted for processing and an acknowledgement letter was sent to the applicant prior to the new fee taking effect.

For applicants under the previous fee whose application has not yet been accepted for processing:

• If the method of payment is by credit card, the application fee will be adjusted to the new $50.00 amount and charged accordingly when the application is considered eligible and complete;
• If a certified method of payment has been provided, applicants will be asked to provide the revised payment of $50.00.

Record suspension applications will continue to be processed in a timely manner, according to established processing times.
