Letter to MND: Launch of a systemic review pertaining to the Primary Reserve

Dear Minister Blair:

I wish to inform you that my office will be launching a systemic review pertaining to the Primary Reserve

Primary Reserve members are increasingly relied upon for domestic emergencies, yet they continue to face inequitable reatment related to financial, medical and administrative challenges should they become ill or injured.

This review will focus on reviewing previous recommendations from our office to determine those which remain relevant and outstanding. This work will directly support the broader effort toward the reconstitution of the Canadian Armed Forces by addressing systemic challenges within the Reserve Force

I look forward to working closely with the Canadian Armed Forces' responsible authorities during this review. We plan to publish the results of the report in summer 2025.
