Wishing members of the Defence community a happy holiday

Happy holidays to members of the Defence community.  

The holiday season can be particularly challenging for Defence community members and their families. I once again thank all those serving, who must spend time away from their families, so that we may enjoy a safe and secure time with ours. I also deeply appreciate the sacrifices made by military families and their steadfast support. Members could not do their important work without their families’ love and dedication.

If you can, I urge you to spend time with your loved ones and remember those that are unable to do so.

Wishing all members of the Defence community a peaceful holiday season, filled with warmth and happiness. Your courage and sacrifice are deeply appreciated.
