DND/CAF Ombudsman systemic investigations

From time to time, our office may investigate and report publicly on matters affecting the welfare of our constituents. The ultimate goal is to contribute to substantial and long-lasting improvements to the Defence community.

We investigate allegations of unfairness in a confidential and secure manner. In this way, the office protects the information it receives. After an investigation, we can make different types of recommendations to ensure fair treatment for members of the Defence community.

From time to time, a Parliamentary committee may invite our Ombud to provide evidence during a hearing. Ombud's recommendations used as evidence can be found here.
