- Provide information to victims automatically
- Better use of Victim and Community Impact Statements
- Make victim rights enforceable like offender rights
- Use multiple means for voices of victims to be heard
- Develop national standards
- Include restitution enforcement in national standards
- Establish task force to collect victim data
- Coordinate support across jurisdictions
- Invest in victim services
- Inform victims about publication bans and simplify process for removal
- Get Indigenous victim consent for elder-assisted hearings requested by non-Indigenous offenders
- Ensure consistent funding for restorative justice
- Limit allowable cancellations of parole hearings
- Invest in OFOVC for stronger mandate and more respect for victims
