This case was decided by Michèle Beauchamp, appeals officer.
[1] This case concerns an appeal made on May 18, 2001 by A.J. J. Kaiser, Loss Prevention Manager, on behalf of TCT logistics, a business operating in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The appeal was submitted under subsection 146(1) of the Canada Labour Code, Part II, following a one-item direction issued on April 24, 2001 by health and safety officer Andrew McKechnie after an inspection of the work place.
[2] On February 27, 2002, the Canada Appeals Office on Occupational Health and Safety was advised by Mr. Kaiser that TCT Logistics was withdrawing its appeal because the business had filed for bankruptcy.
[3] As the appeals officer responsible for this case, I confirm that TCT logistics has withdrawn its appeal. The case is closed.
