Laurie Cameron

Laurie Cameron joins the Board after a rewarding 35-year career in the public sector.
She has extensive senior management experience gained through diverse leadership roles across the private, public and non-profit sectors. Laurie has comprehensive knowledge in the areas of financial and human resource management, as well as non-profit structures and governance.
She is passionate about regional economic development and supporting communities and entrepreneurs to achieve their goals. Having worked with a variety of organizations within the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems at the regional and international levels, she has advanced policy research that catalyzed business start-up and growth, and developed programming championing diversity, equity and inclusion.
Laurie is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University.
She lives in Halifax with her two children.
