The grievor alleged that his chain of command (CoC) breached his confidence by identifying him as a reason for the release of another Canadian Armed Forces member.

The Initial Authority refused to determine the grievance on the grounds that it was submitted outside the time limit prescribed in article 7.06 of the Queen's Regulations and Orders for the Canadian Forces.

The Committee noted that there was no file evidence that the CoC identified the grievor to the released member. Therefore, the Committee found that the CoC did not breach the grievor's confidence.

The Committee recommended that the Final Authority not afford redress.
