The grievor contested a counselling and probation (C&P) that had been issued to him. The Committee found that the C&P was not policy compliant and, given that the grievor has since been released, there would be no useful purpose in issuing a replacement C&P. The Committee recommended that the C&P and related documentation be removed from the grievor's personnel records.

The Director Canadian Forces Grievance Authority, acting as Final Authority (FA), agreed that the C&P, as issued, was not policy compliant. She noted that she would normally have issued a replacement measure, but as the grievor no longer met universality of service requirements due to service-related disabilities, and would therefore not re-enrol, there would be no value in doing so.
