# 2018-035 Pay and Benefits, Component Transfer, Pay and Benefits

Component Transfer (CT), Pay and Benefits

Case summary

F&R Date: 2018-12-12

The grievor contended that he should have been entitled to pay protection upon component transfer (CT) from the Reserve Force to the Regular Force in 1999. The Committee found, as it had in numerous previous grievances, that the Canadian Armed Forces policy on pay protection on CT only came into effect in April 2001. Since the grievor's CT occurred prior to the policy coming into effect, he was not entitled to pay protection.

FA decision summary

The grievor withdrew this grievance before a final decision was rendered.
