What's New: Minister Sajjan welcomes new Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer

The Minister of the National Defence, Mr. Harjit S. Sajjan, today welcomed the appointment of Christine Guérette as Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Committee. As per the governor in council appointment order, Ms. Guérette was appointed for a four-year term, effective June 26, 2018. She has been holding this position on an interim basis since March 2018.

Ms. Guérette first joined the Committee in 2015 as Director General of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer. In a message to employees, she said she is looking forward to work with them in this new role and thanked them for their support: "Your knowledge has always been enriching, and your commitment to our mandate inspiring." "This is a new chapter, yet it is founded on the efforts and achievements of those who assumed this position and other positions since the Committee's inception and I would like to thank them too," she added.
