What's New: Military Grievances External Review Committee’s 2017 Annual Report Tabled

The Military Grievances External Review Committee’s 2017's Annual Report was tabled in Parliament on May 7, 2018 by the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Harjit Sajjan.
The report includes the section titled In Focus in which the Committee presents issues related to the grievance process of particular interest for stakeholders. In the 2017 report, the Committee discusses why the Chief of the Defence Staff is still unable, within the military grievance system, to award financial compensation or to correct mistakes that led to financial loss for grievors.
The report also includes key statistics related to the Committee's Independent Review of Military Grievances Program and summaries of several findings and recommendations reports, as well as a number of systemic recommendations.
