May 5, 2016

The Military Grievances External Review Committee’s 2015 Annual Report was tabled in Parliament on May 5, 2016 by the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Harjit Sajjan.

The report includes the section titled In Focus in which the Committee presents issues related to the grievance process of particular interest for stakeholders. In the 2015 report, the Committee discusses a Federal Court decision that clarified an important jurisdictional issue regarding the Committee’s mandate and role. As well, the Committee presents several examples of the negative impact that the reduction or loss of some benefits under the Canadian Forces Integrated Relocation Program is having on Canadian Armed Forces members and their families.
