What's New: Red Shirt Walk/Run 2013

Staff of the Canadian Forces Grievance Board and the Chairperson, Mr. Bruno Hamel, joined hundreds of military personnel, civilian employees of the Department of National Defence and supporters from the community for the 7th Red Shirt Walk/Run, held in Ottawa on May 31st, 2013.
In the lead-up to the Canadian Forces Day (June 2nd, 2013), the annual Red Walk/Run celebrates the contributions of military personnel both at home and abroad.
Despite the heatwave, we wanted to come out once again and show our respect and appreciation for the troops. The walk/run is a great opportunity to express our gratitude to the military, but also to enjoy a day outdoors. When the weather is more mild that is, said Mr. Hamel.
