2012 Annual Report Tabled in Parliament

The Canadian Forces Grievance Board 2012 Annual Report was tabled in Parliament on May 3, 2013 by the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Peter MacKay.

Titled External Review of Military Grievances, the Board's twelfth annual report includes a new section analyzing four recurring key issues identified during the review of individual grievances and which continued to cause concern last year. These issues are related to the delays in dealing with military personnel’s compensation and benefits claims and grievances; the Home Equity Assistance policy; the Chief of the Defence Staff financial authority; and the procedures applied to recover overpayments made to Canadian Forces members.

The report also includes systemic recommendations made by the Board in 2012, as well the summaries of all 149 findings and recommendations issued last year.
