Keeping our commitment to accessibility

The third year of Library and Archives Canada’s 2022–2025 Accessibility Plan is now complete. Our latest annual progress report highlights what has been achieved so far.

The Accessible Canada Act aims for all federal institutions to be fully accessible by 2040. In line with this goal, the Accessibility Plan outlines the steps to further integrate accessibility across all of LAC’s programs, policies, services, and buildings over the next three years.

Some steps from the initial plan will be carried over to the next reporting period. In the coming months, the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) Centre of Excellence will continue its collaborative efforts to improve accessibility at Library and Archives Canada.

We welcome your feedback at any time. The EDIA Centre of Excellence is also available to provide advice and guidance on demand. To get in touch, please email: accessibilite-accessibility@bac-lac.gc.ca.
